Royal Consumer MC14MX Micro Cut Personal Shredder
This Royal 14 Sheet Micro Cut Shredder MC14MX replaced another Royal shredder, which was over 11 years old
and finally died. It was the reason that I picked the Royal 14. So far I am pleased with this shredder. I wanted a heavy duty shredder that wasn't commercial grade (too
expensive) but could do reasonable heavy duty work for me.
I've
used it now for several weeks (mostly to get rid of years of old
financial statements), and it has performed flawlessly. The Royal MC14MX is an EXCELLENT shredder for only $99. The shredder does have some plastic or nylon guides near the shred teeth which makes this shredder MUCH lighter than my older model.

Comet CM-M07CD 7 Sheet Micro Cut Paper Shredder CD/DVD, Credit Cards Whisper Quiet 4.0 Gallon
I've been using this Comet CM-M07CD 7 Sheet Micro Cut shredder for the past couple of weeks and it has been working like a charm. Great to get rid of all the evidence! A must for any anyone with
too much sensitive paper. Handles large loads easily, and unlike
non-micro cut shredders, basically impossible to assemble the pieces
afterwards.
I think this is a top notch shredder for a number of reasons: 1) It is
not too heavy; 2) The bin pulls out a fact which I find allows for more
shredding than the types where you have to lift up the shredder itself;
3) The shredder is very quiet, and 4) The wheels enables you to bring
the shredder to you. I did some research and came up with the Comet. It is quiet, efficient and looks good.

Best Consumer Shredder: Reviews AmazonBasics 12-Sheet High Security Micro-Cut Paper/CD/Credit Card Shredder with Pullout Basket
This AmazonBasics 12-Sheet High Security Micro-Cut Paper/CD/Credit Card Shredder is truly a bargain for what it is. It arrived
double boxed and in perfect condition. First of all, this shredder is taller than other shredders I have owned
standing 20.5 inches tall including the wheels (nice touch). The bin is
huge and holds over 6 gallons.
Considering this is a micro-cut shredder,
it will take you a while until you have to empty it! It even includes a note saying
it was tested before shipping and there may be paper shreds in the
container. Yep, there where shreds in there. The biggest advantage of the AmazonBasics over my old W-11C is the
micro-cut feature. I've gradually upgraded from strip cut, to
cross-cut, and now to micro-cut.

Well Designed, Reviews Aurora AS890C 8-Sheet Cross-Cut Paper/Credit Card Shredder with Basket
It is small and light weight and works well. Ours office
have had a slightly larger (10 sheets) shredder for about 5 years from
the same company and it still works. This Aurora AS890C 8-Sheet Cross-Cut shredder does not have a 'micro' switch that turns it on. These
switches always seemed to break on me. They were cheap plastic and would
become jammed.
| Expert review of the Aurora AS890C 8 Sheet Crosscut Paper/Credit Card Shredder with Basket |
This shredder is designed in such a way as you can't get
you finger into the shredding part.. I don't believe that you could
even get your tie in it even if you tried. This Aurora AS890C 8-Sheet Cross-Cut machine works beautifully - and it really can shred a credit card -
just be really careful about following the page limitations. It will
get stopped up and stuck if you try to put more than 8 pages into the
feeder.

Work Horse Fellowes 3312501 Powershred 125Ci 18 Sheet Cross-Cut Shredder
When my old Fellowes shredder finally died, I looked at several
shredders before settling on the Fellowes 3312501 Powershred 125Ci. After a couple of months of use,
I like this shredder more than the older one. Shredding action seems to
be very smooth.
This Powershred 125Ci 18 Sheet shredder exceeded my expectations. It truly eliminates jams unless
the user is careless in what they feed into it. It has been a boon at
this particular time as we are sorting through a 18 year collection of
business correspondence, that filled 5 filing cabinets, in anticipation
of a move to another state.

Swingline Stack-and-Shred 500X Hands Free Shredder, Super Cross-Cut, 500 Sheets, 10-20 Users 1757577
The Swingline Stack-and-Shred 500X Hands Free Shredder is awsome! We put a
stack of 500 sheets inside the lid in about 19 minutes all the papers
were gone. There is nothing I can say bad about this shredder. I was a bit hesitant to spend this much for a shredder, even though when I got it the price was almost half the MSRP on the company website.
We love the feature where you can put a stack in and close the lid and just walk away. The one thing we did learn that if the machine stops shredding check to see if the bin is full....we emptied it and it took right off again. The security feature is good too....we have confidential documents we shred at times.

Reviews Swingline Stack-and-Shred 100X Hands Free Shredder, Super Cross-Cut
This Swingline Stack-and-Shred 100X Hands Free Shredder, Super Cross-Cut 100 sheet shred free you from constantly feeding three or more sheets at a time. You just place a stack of sheets in the hopper and the shredder does the rest, unlike my previous shredder that claim to shred 12 sheets at a time but jammed when yo attempted to shred 12 sheets at a time
I really like this shredder. I have another shredder made by Fellowes
which does a great job. However, I like the convenience of loading in a
stack of paper and leaving the shredder to do the work rather than
having to keep feeding the paper. Also, this is the first shredder I
haven't needed to oil, so that's a huge plus.
